Of the masses of people that I have talked to over the years about their experience in network marketing in the beginning has been anything but pleasant to say the least. For me personally, my <b>first year in network marketing</b> was anything but pleasant…

I remember when I first pitched on my first network marketing company I was only 19 years old and my eyes literally lit up when I saw the presentation. There was one slide on that presentation that talked about the potential to earn over 0,000/month and at that time, those thoughts had never even entered my mind because I did not even think that was a possibility.

From that point on, the second I heard the term “residual income” I was completely and totally sold on the idea and from there I signed up immediately. Being that I was so young and naive, I literally thought I was on my road to success because the system that this particular company had in place made it seem extremely easy to achieve great wealth.

I bought into the whole idea of making a list of friends and family hook, line, and sinker. From that point on I literally did it all. I brought friends and family to hotel meetings, did home parties, three way calls with my upline, went door to door, business to business, followed the “proven three foot rule”, and virtually pitched my business on anyone that I thought was willing to listen and give me their time.

The cold reality was beginning to set in and I was starting to understand that trying to build my business this way was NOT going to work. When I really thought about it, the primary source of people I was pitching my business to were broke college kids who were only concerned about getting through school and going out and partying on weekends.

As the thoughts of quitting started to render in my mind, I knew there had to be a better way to build my business and to truly attract the right kind of people to me. I remember surfing the internet one day when I came across an ad that talked about generating leads on the internet. At the time, I thought this ad was nothing but hype however, the second I heard that phrase “generate leads on the internet” I knew that that was exactly what I needed to learn how to do.

Although my story is unique to me, my question to you is this. <b>Are you an entrepreneur or an opportunity seeker?</b> The reality is that MANY people would have simply given up and thrown in the towel at the first sign of defeat however, there was something inside me that KNEW I was going to be successful and that I was going to have success in this industry.

Fast forward to today, I now have the ability to recruit at the push of a button and have people love me for it and I have the ability to turn average people into effective leaders and help them create the lifestyle of their dreams. It is pretty amazing to see how far you can come when you merely just never quit and constantly work on yourself to become more and more effective…
